SIGN-UP FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS

Choose an available date and time for your complimentary professional headshot session on either Monday, September 30th or Thursday, October 3rd, 2024. Available times are listed in the sign-up at the bottom of this page. These sessions will take place on-site at the BMO Chicago Tower (320 S. Canal St.) in the Wellness Suite located on the 5th floor.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY SESSION?
The process takes about ten to fifteen minutes, including the shoot and selecting your favorite headshot. Please arrive five minutes early to prepare. Headshot sessions are back to back; if you're late, you will need to wait for the next available time slot.

WHAT RETOUCHING SHOULD I EXPECT?
Your session includes one retouched high resolution digital image, which includes whitening teeth, brightening eyes, blemish removal, and softening of facial lines.

HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I CHOOSE?
One image is included with your session. If you would like to purchase an additional image for personal use, you may do so, the cost is $75.00 plus tax.

TIPS ON WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT

When deciding on what to wear for your professional headshot, think about the image you are trying to project. Your clothing, hair style, make-up, tie color/pattern and jewelry all play a role in the outcome of your image. Select pieces that are professional and reflect the image you would like to convey. It is important to have closely-fitted clothing for a clean tailored look, as loose clothing can appear unprofessional.

CLOTHING COLORS
For your professional headshot, choose deep, saturated colors to contrast with the white background. Avoid wearing a white jacket and instead, pair bright colors with neutrals like gray, navy, or earth tones. Choose colors that flatter your skin tone. If you have a light complexion, avoid taupes, nudes and pale colors close to your face. The opposite can be said if you have a dark complexion, avoid dark colors close to your face. Incorporate textured clothing for added depth to your image. Minimize the use of black, white, and pastels, as they may not photograph well.

“POP” YOUR EYE COLOR WITH YOUR CLOTHING
Select clothing colors that enhance your eye color. If you have blue eyes, opt for blue, purple, or pink. Purple and yellow can make green eyes stand out. For hazel eyes, try orange or purple. To make dark brown eyes sparkle, choose warm colors or greens. Various shades of blue look great if you have a dark eye color. When choosing colors consider your skin tone and hair to find the most flattering options for you.

MEN
Arrive camera ready for your professional headshot, by dressing in business attire. A gray or navy suit, combined with a fitted white or light blue dress shirt and a subtly patterned tie, offers a timeless look. For a more modern touch, go with a slim fit suit with a narrow lapel and pair it with a thin tie.

Bring several options of classic tie patterns and colors to help ensure your headshot remains professional and versatile. Choose tie colors that complement your skin tone and enhances your features; for instance, a blue tie can make blue eyes “pop”.

WOMEN
Arrive as camera ready as possible. Many times it can be windy outside, so we recommend using a bit more hairspray than normal. This way your hair will stay looking its best! When applying makeup, please note it is always best to apply makeup on the heavier side as it tends to show in photographs much better. Opt for a higher neckline, as your headshot will be cropped closely around your face which can make modest tops with a lower neckline more revealing than intended. Choose jewelry that is on the bigger side. Anything tiny and delicate will not show up well in your photograph. Avoid necklaces that are long as they likely will be cut off in your image. A bold necklace can be a great statement piece.

In terms of rescheduling, the two available dates for BMO U.S. Wealth Management’s professional headshots are Monday, September 30th and Thursday, October 3rd, 2024. We understand plans can change.
