How do I sign-up for a photo session?

What if I can’t make the scheduled dates?
Our photo session dates are listed above in our scheduling app. If the schedule books up and we find there is a high demand for an additional day, then we may add one. If you can’t make these dates please email or call us and and we will do our best to try and accommodate you.
Who should be present at the photo session?
A parent/guardian must accompany each dancer who is being photographed. The parent/guardian who attends should be prepared to order images immediately following the photo session.
How early should we arrive?
Please arrive at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled time, so that there is ample time for your child to change into their costume or leotard. While your child is preparing for their photo session you will be asked to check in with the Nicole Thomas Photography staff.
Where do the photo sessions take place?
Nicole Thomas Photography Studio, is located right across the railroad tracks from Driven 2 Dance in the Lehigh Center. Our address is 1942 Lehigh Ave, Suite D / Glenview IL 60026. If you have any questions, please call us at 847-729-4466.
How much time should we allow for the photo session?
Each family should expect to be at the studio for anywhere between 25 minutes to 55 minutes for the photo shoot and ordering process.
Can my child be photographed in multiple costumes/outfits?
Dancers may be photographed in multiple costumes/outfits. If you plan for your dancer to be photographed in more than four costumes/outfits we encourage you to call the studio and we can make special arrangements for you.
What to Wear?
Many dancers wear their costumes for the upcoming performance in May. We highly encourage you to be creative: tutus, fairy wands, leggings, hats, scarves and so on. For a timeless look, choose a leotard with ballet shoes and tights. For additional ideas click here to view images from previous years.
Should my daughter wear makeup?
Most dancers wear their costumes and prepare themselves as if they were going to perform, but it is entirely up to you!
When and where do we order photos?
You will view and order your child’s images immediately following their photo session in our studio. All orders must be paid for the day of. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. Any orders placed after the shoot date will be subject to our regular Nicole Thomas Photography rates and will not receive special D2D pricing. If for some reason you will not be able to order your images the day of the photo sessions, please contact us in advance, so that we can make special arrangements.
Will there be an opportunity for group shots this year?
We are happy to photograph your child with friends during their individual photo sessions. Just make sure to schedule the dancers shoot in the same time frame. If there are more than three dancers that would like to be photographed together, please email us at info@nicolethomas.com or call us at 847-729-4466 so we can make special arrangements.
What if I have other kids that are not dancers, can they be included?
If you would like to include your other children in the photo shoot it’s no problem but we need to know in advance. Please make sure to email or call us prior to the shoot date so that we can make sure we have room to accommodate you. Click here to view sibling images.

Is there a cost for the photo session?
There is no cost for your D2D dance photo session. You only pay for the photos that you order. You may purchase individual prints or choose from one of our digital or print packages. When will images be ready for viewing/ordering?
All orders must be placed on the day of the photo session. You will be able to view the images “live” (just a few minutes after) your child’s shoot.
How long are the images available for purchase?
Images are available at our special D2D pricing which is available only on orders placed on the day of your child's photo shoot. After that point, images will be available for purchase at Nicole Thomas Photography's regular print rates for four weeks after the photo shoot.
Where do I pick up my order?
Orders may either be shipped directly to your home or you may be picked up at our studio.
