PURCHASED DIGITAL IMAGES INFORMATION

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD INFO

Thank you for purchasing digital images from Nicole Thomas Photography. We have included some information below to make your digital experience a good one.

WETRANSFER LINK I ZIP FILE I Temporary Link

You will receive an email that your digital images are ready to download. The email will included a download link from wetransfer.com. Wetransfer is a service we use that allows you to easily download your images in just a few clicks. Once you receive the email click the transfer link to download your images. We highly recommend that you download your images to your computer using this method. If you attempt to download the images to a phone or tablet you may find that the files are too large. They are sent via “Zip”, which is a condensed way to send files, many phones and tablets need special unzipping software to download.

Remember your wetransfer link is not a permanent link and is typically active for 4 weeks. So make sure to download your images prior to 4 weeks from the time that we send you the email.

ONLINE GALLERY I Permanent Link

The other option that we make for you is an online gallery. We make this gallery expire in a year but we will always happily renew it for you. This gallery is similar to your online gallery that you may have received prior to ordering your images (portrait sessions). It will included all of your purchased images.

If you are a past client and you have ordered digitals before we will add your new images to this gallery in a separate folder with the month and year. That way all of your digital images are all saved in one easy place for you.

One of the other benefits of this gallery is that you are able to share the gallery with family and friends. Just simply send them the link and password to your gallery and they will be able to download images from the gallery. They will also be able to order images and products from Nicole Thomas Photography at highly discounted rates.

QUESTION & ANSWER

What is the difference between high and low or web resolution images?
High resolution images are the largest sized images. They are what you want to use if you are printing an image. ADD MORE ABOUT THE DIFFERENCES

How do I get my images on my phone or tablet?
We have included some suggestions below. If you are using Apple products such as an iPhone, iPad, or Mac you can move files from your devices using AirDrop. Using AirDrop you can send photos, videos, documents and more to other nearby devices and Mac computers. Transfers are encrypted for security, and the recipient can accept or decline each transfer as it arrives. Click here to visit Apple for more info. We suggest downloading the wetransfer file to your Mac and then you can AirDrop the files to any device you might want them on. The low or web resolution files should be a good size for your devices as they are smaller and take up less space. If you think you will want to print them or they are just not showing up as high resolution as you would like them, then AirDrop the “High Resolution” files instead.

If you own a PC you are on your own. Creative people use Macs not PC’s. We really don’t know how PC’s work. Just kidding. We will be adding instructions to this page shortly.

Where should I print my images?
We will always tell you that you should print your images with us. Why? Where do we begin. ADD ALL THE REASONS
Please DO NOT USE WALGREENS. Your beautiful images will no longer be beautiful. The color and quality of the prints will make you sad. I was in tears when I made a prints during the holidays several years back when our lab was closed and I needed prints for a family funeral. Change this but keep the concept.

What should I know about my files?
Your images are saved as jpgs. JPGS are
Re-saving your jpgs is a NO NO. Every time you re-save a JPG you degrade the image. Remember you can open an image as many times as you wish, just do not resave the file every time you open it.
